This has been a tough year. There have been days when life asked more of me than I felt I had to give, and days when building something new had to wait until everything else was taken care of. Through it all, one thing kept bringing me back: the people and neighborhoods that make Chicago feel like home.
Today I’m proud to launch Novy Knows Chicago.
I built this site to be useful long before anyone is ready to buy or sell. You can get to know a neighborhood, look at the market with some context, learn how I work with buyers and sellers, or just reach out with a question. I’ll keep adding local stories and practical guides as the site grows.
It starts with the block
Lincoln Square and Ravenswood are where I spend much of my time. I love the businesses, the history, the familiar faces, and the small differences from one block to the next. I also work across Chicago, and I try to bring that same curiosity to every place a client is considering.
A home search is about more than a list of bedrooms and a price. I want to understand the everyday life someone is trying to build. That means asking about the commute, the building, the layout, the budget, and the things a listing photo can’t show. For a seller, it means preparing carefully, pricing with current evidence, and making a plan that fits their timing and goals.
What I want clients to feel
My goal is simple: clear answers, honest guidance, and someone who follows through. I will never pretend every home is perfect or that every market question has a one-line answer. We can look closely, talk through the tradeoffs, and decide on the next step together.
This launch is a starting point. There is more I want to share here: neighborhood walks, market notes, buyer and seller guides, and stories from the city I’m proud to serve. I’m grateful to the clients and neighbors who have trusted me, asked thoughtful questions, and helped shape how I work.
